hoping to,weather looks a bit grim tho.
anyone know where i can park and maybe get a bus in?

John, a good place to park is in Hove just off New Church Road. You can park on the side roads and New Church Rd as long as your down the western end of it for free all day, then just jump on any bus heading along New Church Road into central Brighton:

Gotta work as usual so can't make it .... mind you the weather looks crap at the moment.

John, we will be going :-)

There should be a space in the car so we could pick you up at some convenient place saving having to park multiple vehicles
(as I'm not allowed to go on my motorbike as Mrs refuses to go pillion)

So far theres me n Fizz (assuming its not raining...its 'the hair' I believe is the real issue behind the majority of these decisions)

I also offered to meet and pick up Chippy along the way (if he doesn't go on his motorbike)

Last year I parked in the NCP just off the seafront and paid £15 for the pleasure IIRC

Let me know what time and location if taking one car in is a good idea and suits you

Rob

If you want to park close (it will cost!) then the "churchill square" shopping carpark is the cheapest one, by a fair bit. Still probably £1/hourish though. But return bus is £3.60......and I HATE buses.

I went (for the 29th consecutive year) and the weather deffo wasn't what Rob McEllwee said last night. Windy, rain etc, and there was me in tyrpical British summer attire - t shirt and shorts ( I did get the cycle jacket on for the rain in the afternoon.

Parked 15 mins walk from the front for free.

shame it was wet
still plenty of runners and spectators this year

The damp made for some interesting runs!

Just wish they would put some layered stands up (like they have on the Frosts bit at the start line that is barriered off and no one seems to use)
Or decide to use the beach side (behind barriers or something should work?)

just anything so its not so much of a jossle to get to see any of the action

Too many people and not enough space
Probably wont be bothering next year unless they sort it out a bit better

Rob

It's always been like that, you just get to your spot earlier. We had lunch at 12, then sat in our spot at 12.50 just as they were closing.g track for lunch. Stayed there all afternoon.
