Welcome to the Excited States of America, Y'all come back now Y'hear. Shoulder flash looks like California, but English sounds like Florida.

personally I think the cop was right.
Guy was doing nearly a ton and the cop let him off with a warning and told him if he was locked up he'd be buggered. Where as in this country you get flashed by a speed camera (sorry, safety camera) and slapped with a fine and points and increased insurance. I'd rather have a slightly racist lecture any time.

Cops can me a bit of verbal anytime if they let me off the fine and points, got off lightly if you ask me.

The cop knew the fine would never be paid, so he made him pay otherwise. I can tell very sad stories about what US cops can do to ruin people's lives when they want to, but I won't. Innocent people too. And they charge you for the food and accommodation whilst in "custody".

Yeah, I would say he was very lucky. I have never seen a cop let someone get by with 28mph over the posted speed. Especially 98mph and leading the pack. Russ

I would take that abuse over a 98mph ticket any time. Highway speed here in ONtario Canada is 100kph with 50 over = a racing charge/insurance and your car is impounded for a week on the spot. you would be lucky to get out for less than 3 or 4 thousand dollars, Your insurance would likely double or triple in price as well.

How was he leading the pack if the cop was quote "right in front of you" ??

And you most definitely would not want to get 'violated'
