Was going to go stanford show by kit car mag but after the comments on here im not even going to bother. So any shows near to yourshire where i can see diffrent kits and best of all so boys toys on sale as going to hunt for engine covers and a digi dash

if not this year what events are best to put in the calender as my car.may.possibly.be.done mid next year.

Realistically then Stoneleigh next May

exeter is still to come on the calender. its not the biggest show in the world but is usually a reasonable turn out and allways seems to have the odd unveiling of a new car or two.

what i wish more than anything is for the organisers to move the stands around into different spots each year. for the last 4-5-6years nothing has hardly moved and its all starting to feel a bit like ground hog day.

Brighton Speed Trials (10/9/11); might not be what you were thinking of though

Exeter is supposed to be pretty good ( small version of Stoneleigh? ) although I've never been due mainly to distance - the same will apply to you, I think.

However, don't rule out Stafford - you can go, park, wander round the other displayed kits, natter to other LCBs and so on without it costing you a sausage (important to a Yorkshireman!) it is only when you go in to the halls they levy a charge on you (tenner when I went 2 years ago ISTR). In here you find the manufacturer displays, 'shops' like CBS, Europa, Woolies and the like, but there is nowhere near as many as Stoney and Newark, but if you are looking for bits - might be worth the 80 - mile trip - certainly nearer than exeter or brighton. The main bugbear last year was them charging or trying to charge kit-car owners to get in the hall when they had been categorically told that if you are an 'exhibitor' it was free.
