Me and a mate are going along in our MR2 V6
It won the PPC £999 challenge last month so the mag's coming along to do a bit of a feature on it.
What are you in fella? I'll pop over and say hi

Cracking day, especially after lunch when the sun came out and the track dried properly

Big thanks to Jon above for the loan of some go-juice to keep us moving before lunch

I blagged some passenger laps in a 240bhp 'Red Top' engined Westfield on slicks!! That thing had some right shove and has really wetted my appetite to get my Haynes done.

Nickp - 30/10/11 at 07:42 PM

BTW - I think Jon was going for some sort of endurance record with the amount of laps he was banging in!! Well, when he wasn't over filling his oil that is

Like to get my monies worth, track came good in afternoon, another £100+ fuel blown...............

That MR2 looked and sounded very cool, bargain, 1st time with Apex trackdays, good but Javelin run a better day there, they dont red flag to pull a break down in unless they really have to just pull it in under yellows, think they postion marshals better to, like the little touch of a coffee on arrival though.

TBH Jon we probably weren't far behind you on laps done mate as we did £100 of fuel too!!
We called it a day slightly early as the poor old MR2s brakes were suffering with the faster afternoon sessions, a little bit of development required over the winter maybe? I think quite a few people were impressed at how well the old MR2 was going, we seemed to be able to run with road going 7's but not the more track focused ones. The young lad in the Evo8 was quite surprised that I could hang onto his coat-tails too
The Westie I got a go in was seriously quick and I was gonna ask for a ride in yours to compare and contrast but I wasn't sure if you were coming back in or not!! Yours was looking and sounding good too and looked like it was good fun on track
