Any Meets in the NW???
Locost_col - 21/10/12 at 09:37 PM

Just wondering if there are any local get togethers as would be good to meet some like minded owners and get a few tips. A beer is always a bonus as well

Could be a BBQ tea party with pies.

Will post something once my cars sorted. Check out my link and all will be explained

I suspect that many owners will be thinking of parking them for the winter now, I for one won't be. Maybe we could get some kind of Winter meet sorted out, even if it was just some tyre kicking in a carpark?..

a NW meet would be good, i for one would definately be interested, and my car is staying on the road this winter

Its not really a meet for kit cars but on sunday i went to the Preston Supercar Meet at the Phantom Winger, even though my car is no supercar it got a bit of attention and people were very friendly and chatty, their all just petrol heads, but with money and a few had kit cars at some point or raced etc.

They meet and go for a run out on a monthly basis, every second to last sunday of the month i think it is, there was about 40+ nice cars there, pics and info are on pistonheads website in the NW regional section if people are interested.

Yes, I have read about the PH meets, but felt that as an kitcar owner I would look and feel a bit of a cheapskate owning a car made up from many others. Just my view of course. Whereas meeting other kitcar owners is somehow an even playing field in respect of the work and knowledge put in to produce such cars.

to be honest i thought the same at first, i was just out in the car enjoying what could well be the last dry day of the year and was going past on my way home so just thought 'why not', but a dedicated kit car meet would be better.

Does this mean I need to up the pace and get mine done in time!?

Ive read about the Preston Supercar meet and have seen videos/ pictures of the meets- From what I can tell there petrolheads so are interested in anything different/ fast.. So us lot should fit in well! And theres a serious amount of expensive machinery to dream about/ perve over when your there!

Im sure the PASA (Preston and Surrouding Area's) will kick off again when the weather improves in the new year.
