Wanted any seven's
scutter - 12/5/05 at 05:17 PM

The station is holding a open/families day on the 9th of July, and I've been asked if I can organise a display of Lotus sevens of any kind.

There'll be a static and flying display and other marque's including Lotus and Ferreri. We're hoping to gather around 15-20 of each type of car.

Would all those interested contact me either through the site or via my Email.

P.s. I'm stationed at RAF Brize Norton, Oxfordshire.

Do a search on e-bay. Just type in 'MK Indy' Last time I looked there were three for sale.

One of them is a very nicely finished ZX12R Indy

bob - 12/5/05 at 05:54 PM

Sounds like another trek up the M40

Fozzie - 12/5/05 at 07:16 PM

Sounds good to me!

Fozzie

Deckman001 - 12/5/05 at 07:39 PM

Dan, can any of us turn up ?? or do we need an invite from a base person like you

Jason

scutter - 12/5/05 at 09:33 PM

John, with you it's always food, I think it'll be the stoneliegh BBQ.

Jas, i'll ask the bosses.

James, I hate for you to show up the pride of the airforce

We'll be sharing the stand it the Chiltern 7's who i meet this evening, they think they'll be bringing about 4-6 cars(Cat**hams, westfield and the like)

Anymore takers, may even bring the scutter mobile out of the shed.

Atb Dan.

James - 13/5/05 at 10:46 AM

May not *quite* have mine finished by then so won't get your hopes up!

James

Peteff - 13/5/05 at 12:17 PM

Is it a public open day or just an invite thing? Can anyone come just to look at the aeroplanes I mean? Didn't see Jason's question Dan, wondered the same thing too.

Atb Dan.

greggors84 - 13/5/05 at 02:47 PM

The car should be done by then, will let you know a little nearer the time for definate.

theconrodkid - 13/5/05 at 03:59 PM

unfortanatley it clashes with a party for moi

scutter - 18/5/05 at 08:00 PM

Right finally got hold of the required Officer, he has said that we can have upto 10 cars as long as there kits, all i need is for people to Email me with the information listed below, Were limited to 10 cars as the Chiltern Sevens are coming along as well with about 10 cars.

As for folk who would like to come along, the Officers words were "you could get away with 2-3 support vehicles as long as you don't take the piss" so the first 3 people to mail me with there details will be in.

There will be on site burger vans and the like but I'd say bring a BBQ and cool box with you and make a day of it.

Listed so far is a static aircrafts display, a flying display and the RAF Falcons jumping out of an aircraft the still works.

The details I need to fill out each form is as follows

Drivers name
Passengers name
Addresss
Home phone No.
Mobile phone No.

Make of vehicle
model of vehicle
Colour
Reg No.

Cheers and look forward to seeing you all soon,

Atb Dan.

Bugger forgot, My Email address is mad.scutter@ntlworld.com

ATB Dan.

Deckman001 - 25/6/05 at 02:48 PM

You Have Mail !!

Jason

DarrenW - 27/6/05 at 03:26 PM

Just as an aside - my Uncle used to be in the Falcons. They are fantastic and worth going along just to see them.
It sounds like a great day out and a few locosts will be the icing on the cake. I wish i was more local.

scutter - 27/6/05 at 05:12 PM

The Falcon, What those folk who jump out of a prefectly serviceable aircraft.

Very talented folk tho.
ATB Dan

DarrenW - 28/6/05 at 08:46 AM

Perfectly servicable Lockheed aircraft iirc. Madness. I have some fantastic photos taken from one of their helmets when they are in formation - absolutely awesome. I think he was in for at least two terms, went all over the world. Belize sounded like one of his favourite places. I was lucky enough to get access to the training hanger at Brize Norton, i shat myself just jumping out of that! It was a long time ago now though. I used to love family holidays in Oxford as a kid, spent quite a lot of time at Carterton.

scutter - 6/7/05 at 06:26 AM

OK slight amendmant to the catering plan, There are to be NO BBQ's on the airfield(was getting confused with another station event).

See you all Saturday.

Dan.

Deckman001 - 6/7/05 at 05:06 PM

Will there be food avaliable from other sources then ?? weather looks good for the day !!

Jason

scutter - 6/7/05 at 05:35 PM

Burger vans and the like Jason, would suggest a nice picnic.

Just been watching the C17 display practice, nothing that big should be put on it's side.

ATB Dan.

Deckman001 - 6/7/05 at 05:47 PM

Righto will do, It's the Tornado and Harrier I'm looking forward to , can never get enough of em
Jason

Triton - 6/7/05 at 06:36 PM

Jason have you built that damn car yet.........

scutter - 6/7/05 at 09:47 PM

I think cooking on the turbo is allowed aslong as you don't smoke out the airfield.

Another correction you WILL need two forms of ID with atleast one having a photo.

ATB Dan.

bob - 6/7/05 at 10:42 PM

I think i'll try an old trout on my manifold

scutter - 7/7/05 at 06:07 AM
