lovely morning for a drive, see you all shortly!

Ned.

scutter - 16/10/05 at 08:55 AM

Freezing and expensive from where i'm sat. i'll explain later.

Dan.

Surrey Dave - 16/10/05 at 03:29 PM

I'm more of a Newlands next Sunday kind of guy..........

scutter - 16/10/05 at 05:21 PM

I'm freezing as the fog was brisk at 8 this morning on the motorway, Expensive as the card sump gasket i ordered from Burton wasn't the correct one for the old boat anchor.

Now have a very well waxoiled engine bay and the engine got VERY tight whilst pottling along. Still got 3bar of oil pressure when i topped it back up so hopefully no damage, will whip of some bearing caps and check tomorrow.

How was breaky?

Sulking Dan

bob - 16/10/05 at 05:26 PM

My egg and bacon roll was pants, nice coffee though.

I'm with dave on this one,Newlands is better

donut - 16/10/05 at 06:31 PM

The full english at the 'Mountain' was the best yet.....I am very reliably informed....

Deckman001 - 16/10/05 at 07:42 PM

Dan, maybe you can point out the defective sump gasket suplied by others to the supplier and get some of the possible rebuild cost recovered ???

Jason

scutter - 16/10/05 at 08:09 PM

Jason, no such luck. The gasket was listed as a competition item, i've since found out his means ali wet and dry sump systems.

I've done things the wrong way round as i've just brought an ali. shallow sump off Ebay.

Still live and learn.

ATB Dan.

Deckman001 - 16/10/05 at 08:16 PM

As long as you havn't knackered that engine you might be running in for me !!
Or you might have to pay Me to take it !!

Jason

scutter - 16/10/05 at 08:26 PM

Oh I know your dreaming now.

Dan.

donut - 19/10/05 at 11:20 AM

So is it Newlands for definate this sunday?

ned - 19/10/05 at 11:45 AM

have to agree with bob on this one, mountain brekky wasn't all that. the toast and tea was ok but te rest was a bit of a let down. I thought stu and conrod were of the same opinion.

i'd go to a meet there, but give the full english a miss next time.

don't know if i can make newlands this weekend as will be in watford saturday night..

Ned.

You know Stu better than most Dave!
He just didn't like being mis-quoted! he enjoyed his brekky very much, there was so much on the plate he couldn't eat it all.
He said that it wasn't as excellent as the first caterers (about 2 years ago), but was very nice none-the-less.
The problem with the catering there, is ...... Walton Mountain will soon be 'no more'.. the council only offer short leases, so there has been quite a hefty turn around of caterers there.
It is too near our home to really enjoy the locality when out in the fozzmobile, and we never frequent it unless there is a mini-meet, but as 'fuss pot' Stu says, its the only meeting place he will eat at. Now the car boot has been moved to another place in Walton (Esher Rugby Club), the traffic isn't quite so hectic.
Unfortunately, Ned was late in arriving and wasn't there for the whole of Stu's conversation.
The good news is that I didn't have to do a system restore after his 'go' on me lap-top!...lol
