Hi Chaps

Just wondering if anyone is going up to the Sports and Kit Car show at the Staffordshire County Showground on March 8th.

I should hopefully have a garage almost built by then so should have somewhere to start building a car.

Anyone shed any light on this show?

I'm planning on going - need a few elctrical bits and need to pick up the ew wheels.

Haven't been to the show b4 so can't tell u what its like

As for the show -it's Ok, bit early in the year for some of the manufacturers, the main attraction is being able to buy me a beer.

The previous Stafford shows i've been to were very good IMOA. Last years was a lot better than exeter, and apart from the track action it was better than Donnington. Although it was b@sta@rd freezing last year and my 2 year old threw a massive tantrum in the tiger stand!! I'm sure that was one of the things that put me off the avon

You can have a lift with me if you can get yourself to Guildford where James lives by about 8am

i could have a word with the west london mafia about your lift,im being picked up M40/M25 junction,can you get to heathrow airport?

Major Bummer - got to go to German on business that weekend, not gonna make the show - not a happy chap.

If anyone is planning on going by train cuz of the weather or needs a floor to sleep on, just let me know.
I am only 10 miles away from show ground and have a people carrier.

Does anyone know if there is camping on site? how about caravans? if not on site any near by???

You can camp right outside the show,no facilities though,i camped last year in near blizzard conditions and have only just recovered..................from the chilli i made in the tent.

Tickets came today,attached was a letter stating that camping will be £3 a night and would be run by the showground and not limlight exhibitions.
Also a new toilet shower block has been built but there is no electric hook up fo rgirls and there hairdryers .

I was told there was a toilet/shower block last year, the brick building that looked very much like a shithouse and reaked like one was locled all weekend.

You pays yer money and so on.

i am off on the 8th, the saturday, so might pop up on the bike weather permitting, and if i am not working the sunday, i might stay in the B&B, but NO WAY am i CAMPING this time, after the blizzard from outside and the heavy wind from inside the tent(bobs chilli) i will give it a miss........... maybe see some of you there.

OIH that chilli saved our lives as it kept reapearing in the form of very very hot air.

I am not denying that it added to the "WARMTH" in the tent, but with all the gas, we almost never made it out alive!!!!!!!
If i stayed, it would be in a hotel at this time of year, unless there is a freak warm spell heading this way!!!!

Just wanted to know is anybody planning to meet up in the midlands area and if so what time and where, i live just south ish of Wolverhampton.

11am I believe, but wasn't that the MK lot (says he who works there?!). I think all locostbuilders should meet at 12 at the bar downstairs like chris g says. Anyroad I'm in civvies on saturday and I'll be doing enough talking shop on sunday so I'll be keeping my distance from MK if I can. (again says he who's going to stafford tomorrow to set up the MK stand!!??!!)
