I'm hoping to come down to Stoneleigh in the Indy. Where do I park, do MK have a spot, or will the Locost's let me in?

Do you all camp in one area?

Sorry, but this is my first year of going to shows in the Indy, rather than in a tin top!

Mike

there will probably be both an MK area and a locost area. Your welcome at either

bob - 19/4/06 at 08:57 PM

Mk owners have an area booked in for at least 20 cars, the plot number is 39E

We are almost next to the locost car club plot which is also in area 39 so you will be in good company.

hi,

are we in a good spot this year bob? As in previous years we have been maybe a mile or so away from the rest perhaps im thinking of newark but at one of the two i think last year MK were quite far out.

Tom

JAG - 20/4/06 at 08:18 AM

There's a Locost meeting on the Monday night in Leamington Spa (about 5 miles away).

See HERE

All are welcome and if the weathers good we'll probably have 4 or 5 finished cars.

Tom

Thanks to some help from the organisers and a word from the locost car club (namely chrisg ) we have been moved after serving 2 years in the wilderness.

Area 39 is much more central and hopefully whoever takes over the role of booking the show pitches can keep us there.

Moorron - 23/4/06 at 10:38 AM

its going to be my first time there too, do u set up your tents in the same area the cars are parked up? or is there a seporate camping area?

bob - 23/4/06 at 10:44 AM

There is a seperate camping area for those in tin tops or 7's, if there is room it is possible to camp on the owners area but it is a bit limited for tents and cars.

so come on then nobody has answer has really answered my question ?

Where is every one camping ?

Is there camping at stoneleigh (in the carpark / dedicated site) or are you camping at a Campsite down the road.

What are the costs?

Who and when do we pay?

Do we need to book?

Are there toilets ? Showers? Shop for Food? or is it a field with nothing?

What is 39E ? - A Bus Route ?

Not Much info here

Marcus - 23/4/06 at 07:55 PM

Camping on the show site, toilet and shower blocks available, bring food and beer (there is a bar though). There'll be a few with disposable barbies gas burners etc, so cooking should be sorted. No need to book, just turn up.
39E is the area 2 blocks south of the main arena - easy enough to find.
There will be quite a few Locosts and Indys hanging around there!

Ok in easy to understand terms.

The show is sunday/monday but you can camp in the showground from saturday midday till tuesday midday if you like.

There is a dedicated camping area and toilets/showers spead over the whole of the show.

If you are in a tin top you can camp all weekend for £20 per person, this also gains you access to the show as you are camping within the show itself.

If you are in a kit car it will only cost you £5 all in.

There is a pub/bar within the show and this is open saturday as well, but unfotunatly there are no shops so bring supplies.

On sunday night one of the halls is open which has another bar/pub and there is entertainment music/band if you like, this is put on at no extra cost.

re the camping

last year the family camping area was closed because of groundwork but alas this year it will be open, its a woodland area a bit quieter than the middle of the park.

You can also camp on some of the club areas which 39 is one of if your a member of whatever club are booked there, this is a loose guide and pople do basically camp all over.

I hope this helps

Oh and for reference the postcode is

CV8 2LZ

You can pay for camping/entrance at the main gate.
