TIGER OPEN DAY
matt.c - 2/5/06 at 07:08 PM

SUNDAY 7TH AT THORNEY TOLL.

ANYONE GOING?

SixedUp - 2/5/06 at 07:24 PM

Not personally (its a long way for me) but they tend to be pretty well attended, both by existing owners, and prospective owners who want to have a closer look.

The ones I've been to have been good, with plenty of time to catch up with the people who I missed at Stoneleigh, while wandering around and kicking all the tyres

Cheers
Richard

I WILL BE GOING TO LOOK AT THE AVON AND SEE HOW MUCH WORK WILL BE NEEDED TO INSTALL A R1 ENGINE TO IT.
GREAT TURN OUT LAST YEAR BUT NOT MANY BEC'S THERE. HOPE THERE WILL BE MORE THERE THIS YEAR.

Don't do it.

There are better chassis available for the R1 that will be much less hassle to put together.

Don't rule out MK, MAC1, GTS and MNR - you get a lot more bang for your buck.

I'll probably drive over if it isn't raining. Only an hour or so from Loughborough to Peterborough. They'll be a spare seat + crash helmet if anyone wants to come and is on my way / willing to meet me at my house.

Have a word with Viper, i havent seen him online for ages. But i have seen his car and had a long chat about it with him.

He had to do alot of GRP work on the rear arches and is generall very unhappy with it.

Oh and yeah the open day is worth going to to have a look at their cars. I got a ride in the B6, R6 and an owners pinto engined Cat which is what i was looking at building at the time. Almost got a ride in the twin engined car but on the run out before he was going to take me he noticed and oil leak and had a trackday the next day.
