Well as some of you may have not noticed, I wasn't at the Newlands meet last Sunday. It was a family members birthday and they live in Southsea.
So as DLT was anxious to meet other VX220 owners as we have not seen one other VX220 since we bought it and the southern VX220 lot were meeting at
Goodwood we decided to go there!
Well, it is on the way to Southsea......This months theme was British Classic Cars...
We got there early (for us) but not early enough, it was mega heaving, and lots had already started on their journeys home, but it was a brilliant
day.
I apologise that I was a bit slow in taking pictures of cars before they all started to leave, but I did get a few which are in my archive.
The Classics were parked in an area by the cafe, and believe me, although it looks quite empty by the time I got the camera out, it was heaving with
gorgeous old cars.
All of the moderns were parked in the paddock, which again was heaving when we first arrived. When we came back the paddock was almost empty.
Sadly there are only two breakfast club meetings left for this year, August and October. September not being on because of the Revival.
The actual cafe was quite expensive, but they did have their mobile van there, and if thats too expensive, there were plenty of peeople having picnics
on the grass.
Could well be a 'meet' for all another time?

Now that you have this factory built farce!!!! does that mean we are no longer good enough for you???

Andy
You were never good enough in the 1st place
Andy
I don't know what the fuss is about its only another lotus with a different name on the from If I recall there is somebody else here with one of
those.
Derek you are right!
They were built on the Lotus production line, with their designer doing the bits that made it slightly different from the
Elise. It is quicker than the Elise, and the 'ride' is allegedly smoother and allegedly handles better. The model we have does 0-60 in 4.7
seconds with out-of-the-box BHP of 217.....if ya into that sort of thing.
When we first got it I did put a picture as my avatar for a short while, but no one contacted me to say they also have one, so.........
Andy-mate, DLT has put up with me and my 'baby' for nearly 4 years now, and it was little Laurens 2nd birthday in Southsea......so it was
only fair that I 'gave' him just one brekkie meet!
Oh and as for desserting you lot...never!
and this is coming from Andy-Mate, who built his first, sva'd, sold immediately, bought a Mini, and totally deserted us, in person and on forum
and as MK club guru, and then went on to get an MX5? and carried on deserting us, until you saw sense and bought another 7 project
.......
Did you see those Minis in my archive btw?
Fozzie
nail on the head there foz my luv
ooops
That put me in my place
And thanks for the support Bob, no wonder i bugger off every now and then!!
