RH Track day invite
mitch2b - 31/8/06 at 10:03 PM

I have been ased to post this on behalf of Tim Norman, chairman of the RH owners club,

"Mitch

As you are a member of the Locost web could you do me a favour.
We need another 10 or so to go to Llandow on the 7th October for a track day. Cost £55 enquiries to me via tim@rhocar.org"

So If you fancy a cheap track day give Send Tim a mail on the above email address

Mitch

It's a hell of a long way to go for a trackday but it's cheap. Who's been there before and what's the track like?

worth the trip ? If it rains it could be a miserable, long, wet day.

But it is cheap............

Graeme,

OUCH!!!!!

But i have an SVA'd lightweight!!!

Hellfire - 1/9/06 at 11:08 AM

Just had a look at their website.... looks a fast track. My doubts are with run-off on those corners as there doesn't look to be much.

Plenty cheap!!! But only 98Db limit....

Previous thread here

I may be tempted - is it open to all cars?

I've just sent Tim a mail to book me a place.

First track day for me, I've heard that the run-off space is a bit limited...

Only 20 miles for me so it's too cheap to turn down.

Rich.

You will need to email tim with any questions, but i think any car will be welcome,
Thanks for the reponse, shame i cant make it, or would see you there

Mitch

Is the 98Db noise limit strictly enforced, or are they quite relaxed about it?

Spoke to Tim, all cars are welcome. Still about ten places left as of last night....

Hello Folks

I've done 5 trackdays at Llandow and have never seen a db meter. In fact, I was under the impression that there was no limit. My old Indy was 108db at 3/4 max revs and no problem..

There's no houses for miles, the kart track is infinitely noisier and there's an RAF base just down the road. I'd be amazed if noise was an issue!!!

I'd be doing it if I had a car to do it there. I'll be there on the day anyway.

Cheers

TC

P.s. Run off is limited - BEWARE of "Caravan Corner!"

lsdweb - 3/9/06 at 09:49 AM

I'll agree with TimC - I've spent a lot of time at Llandow (used to 'work' there as an instructor) and the only time I ever saw a noise meter is on MSA events.

Tim's also right about 'Caravan Corner' - called that by those of us who have been up on top of the 7 foot tyre wall where you can see all the caravans! The run off area is a little small but if you're line is right you'll have no problems............

Who's signed up?

Am gutted that I don't have a car for the world's cheapest trackday!

TC

Hellfire - 5/9/06 at 11:13 AM

It's only the worlds cheapest trackday if you have one person driving the car. Factor in another couple of drivers who each have to pay the full price (in our case 3) plus the fact that it's three and a half hours away, and it becomes an expensive trackday (for us). A day at Cadwell works out about the same price for the same amount of track time. Guess where we're going instead of Llandow..............

Errrrrr.... Spa????

richard thomas - 5/9/06 at 04:33 PM

Quicky daft question....I don't have the regs yet but I take it that i'll need a lid??? I have one from my biking days long ago - will that do or is there a standard that needs to be complied with?

Rich.
