David

erm thanks
OK - no-one suggested a pub yet, so how about one of these:
Wheatsheaf - Tattingstone (scruffy, but decent beer, easily located from Essex & Suffolk)
White Horse - Tattingstone ("quaint" - i.e. odd - but decent beer and a big car park. Can get crowded if there's a darts match on)
Neither place is entirely given over to pub food, so it's always possible to find a seat on most evenings.
Any other suggestions welcomed.
David
When?
Ah... the hard question...
How about the 6th? (next wednesday)
[Edited on 1/12/06 by David Jenkins]
OK - here's a suggestion - Wed 6th Dec, White Horse Tattingstone, at 7:30-ish.
Any takers?
David
I'm working nights until the 8th then I'm finished until January, so the 6th is out for me.
cannot make wednesdays, the wife works (might be ok if its a kid friendly pub though )
Hoping to get my engine back in and running this week not sure I'll make it.
Maybe we can let it slip a week, to get the maximum number of people together - also the weather looks like it's going to be rotten this week -
how about same place, same time, but on Thursday 14th?
I'm not sure that the pub would welcome kids in the evening; depends on the size/age/behaviour of the kid I suppose!
It's not a rough
pub, though.

Oops busy that night! Sorry
How about another day - same time, same place, Tuesday 12th? I'd only plucked the Thurday out of the air anyway...
This is my last offer!
If there aren't enough takers, then I give up...
David
Sound good, anyone else about ?

David
Well, that's 3 of us (maybe more if partners are brought)
Any more?
How about anyone who comes in a tin top buys the drinks?
Erm - looking at the weather, I think you're pushing your luck!
Wil try to be there .
I'll be up for it, so long as the weather stays fine. Can we confirm on Monday?
Be the first time I'll have been able to show off the car!
Rich
OK - we may have a quorum!
The pub's postocde - IP9 2NU - should be enough for the far-away folk to find the place, using multimap, google maps, or similar.
Hi All,
See you there.

Coo you could have chosen somewhere to the North / West of Ipshich, Tat'stone is 140 miles round trip for me!.
I will see.
Definately wont be in the Viento, I went out yesterday in the sun, and boy did it turn cold as the sun dipped down at 4pm.
Hope to make it.

I would like to come, but its a bit too much of a treck for me too...
David
Sorry 'bout that - but we are so widely scattered that there will always be someone inconvenienced!
Perhaps you can arrange a more convenient location in the new year... we're always keen for new venues.
David
OK - the weather may or may not be good for tomorrow evening - the forecast has changed 3 times in the last 24 hours!
I'll be going anyway, whether in the Locost or the tin-tip, so I'll meet you all there.
David
Me too! See ya!
What time will you all be there until as I won't get back to Colchester until 7.30???
Well, I'll probably be there for a couple of hours at least..
You could probably get there in about 30 minutes from central Colchester, along the A137.

If anyone doesn't know where they're going this evening, or suspects that they may get lost, then drop me a U2U - I'll give you my
mobile number.
BTW: The weather forecast for early evening is "moist".

Rusty and me are coming... See you all later.
could'nt make it sorry.
Well we had a good chin wag, only problem was there were no locals except for David J.
Never mind, still worth the trip. Admittedly a bit too cold and wet to go in the Viento, especially without a Windscreen
Edit: I told you the Adnams was not up to scratch!! Its clouded my memory
Appologies to both for mixing the names.

There was no-one there more local than me - I only live a mile from that pub!
I was the only local, Jon travelled down from Lakenheath.
It was nice to meet everyone and have a natter...
