Curborough 29th Oct spaces available
I have spaces available at Curborough if anybody wants to come. Its £47.50 for the full day. Its a MSA sprint circuit only one on the track at a time
taking it in turns. Great fun and pleanty of run off...

I have run these several times and they have been very good and several forum members have come along. PM me if you are interested.

Sh*t, im at college that day
Yep!! I'm up for that. U2U sent
I'm up for this (PM on way). Always fancied a play at sprinting.
Couple of questions: -
Will timing equipment be working like a test day, or will it be like other trackdays where no timing allowed for liability purposes?
If timing is allowed, will it only work if you have one of those metal doobreys on the front of your car? If you need one what's the spec?
Given it's not a proper sprint, I assume there's no requirement for fireproof overalls etc as the MSA state?
Would it be ok to bring a group of students along to watch and gain ask a few questions in the paddock?
It's not far for us to come along, would like to bring our MK along but it's nowhere near ready.
this is a great little sprint track, i ve been a couple of times, the last time was in my impreza.
my front tyres were a little worse for wear afterwards though...lol.
i would go again if i could afford it, got made redundant this year so things are a little tight at the moment.
i do have a video somewhere of last time there.
We won't be using the Clubs timing kit during the day, but I usually bring a stopwatch and do timed runs in the afternoon. No MSA kit is
required, but if you have it I'd wear it (I'll be in mine looking like a chubby STIG), Helmets are reccomended and in an open car they must
be worn at all times on the track...
Any more Q's fire away...
Hi, Do you still have places left for Curborough? Cars dont need to be road registered or anything like that do they, as we are thinking of using the day for setting the MK up. Is the price per car or per driver?
Hey chap! 5 places yet to be taken. Price is per car and it doesn't need to be road legal....
PM sent (yeah I know, Si - finally!).
It'd be great to pick up some tips on the day too, if possible.
I don't know about anyone else, but my my first experience of live motorsport was watching sprints / hillclimbs.

Don't worry you'll be fine. Most of the people there will be regular track track day attendees. Relaxed atmosphere and a good bunch of
lads, You'd be made welcome...
Regards
Carl
Might book the day off work and pop along to spectate, help etc.
For those that havent been to Curborough or sprinted before, its an excellent venue.
Plenty of run off area onto grass if you get it wrong, no messy "kitty litter" if you come off, excellent viewing for spectators, smooth
surface, not too technical etc.
Helmet a must !!
Also long sleaves, and gloves are advisable.
Bring a jerry can of fuel !!
I can take people for a lap in my "tin top" to look at lines, braking etc.
Bring lunch and no vehicles on the track between 12-1pm

No worries major. You''ll be more than welcome to pop down for a ride and/or a chat and a ride.
For the people that have sent me cheques could you please send me an email with your name, forum name and email address please. I'm having a
nightmare matching cheques to forum names
Ta
Just to let you know, I have listed the trackday on Facebook as a private event. I will use this for planning ones in the future, if you want adding to the group please send me your email address and name
Sorry, can't make this again. Still a couple of annoying jobs outstanding!
Is there any room for another one, might be able to make it, not sure yet, but have never done a sprint would love to try, thanks
gerry
Yup, 2 places left. U2U me if you wanna come...
Looks like we'll need our coats - current forecast is max 4 degrees, -1 with windchill!
ohh! cold!! as long as its dry i'll be happy.
Really sorry for the lack of communication chaps, but rest assured everything is sorted and on Sunday when I get back I'll send the final
instructions out. I have been all over the country trying to get my engine bits together. It only got finished being machined today!! I work best
under pressure
somebody had to pull out, does anybody else want to come?
Great day out, many thanks to Carl, and good to meet some new faces from here, thanks again Carl.

Simon, have you made any modifications to your car? I had a ride out in every car and yours seemed to handle much differently. Have you done racing before?
