Does anyone know the guide or factory setting for an outboard vortx so I have somewhere to start from?

Hi, Il have a look and U2U them although the base settings suggests one size fits all when there are loads of differences on chassis, suspension, wishbones, uprigths, racks etc so might be worth seeing a race/track specialist

Hi

For very basic settings use Front- 0.5 - 1mm toe in, camber 1 Neg castor set to 5.( if adjustable)
Rear - 1-2mm toe in camber 0.5 - 1 neg.

If looking at getting the settings tied in for optimal performance then it's going to be down to the individual car for ride heights and camber setting will require setting after the camber has been mapped to see what is happening in roll due to the camber gain going in the wrong direction due to inbuilt design geometry. Toe at the front will be determined by the ride height / bump steer / camber settings / castor as a combined setup to determine whether your looking at a toe in or toe out setup.

Cheers Matt

Must admit one thing that doesn't get asked a lot is bump steer and yet it was one of the longest jobs I ever did on the indy, and it was amazing the changes from toe in to toe out that the steering had when going from normal driving to heavy braking and then heavy acceleration, really must get round to checking it again since going onto rose-jointed wishbones and moving them back 15mm.
