Do you have a mount? That will be the most important part.

Pretty much any digital compact camera will record well enough. (my videos here: http://www.youtube.com/my_videos?feature=mhum ) using a 5 year old nikon with a 2gb card giving over an hours recording at 640x480res.

I use a sucker mount that secures to the rear screen of the tintop. http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=45383

I also have an old mini tripod (£1 shop job) that i plan to adapt for my kit.

FYI: I made my rollbar mount from a 1/4 UNC bolt, some bent aluminium, and a jubilee clip. It's pretty solid, and cost nothing.

I made mine for the Indy out of a lightweight aerial u-bolt from Asda, a couple of ty-wraps and some gaffer tape to avoid scratching the powdercoat.

The ty-wraps were tight enough to hold a bullet cam, but just loose enough to be able to remove the cam before driving home...

Tidied the wiring using some velcro cable ties from the cage to a mini-dv camcorder under the seat. Cost me about £200, though, including the camcorder (Morgan Computers) & bullet cam off the Bay of E.

Might be better off with something like this if you need it quick:

I've just got the 'Super Clamp with ball and socket' from here

Super Clamp

Took it for a test drive the other day and have to admit I was impressed by the results. Very steady.

I also have one of these little suction mounts but haven't tried it yet.
