I only want to see if the steering column splines I have do suit the old ford setup I suspect they are. Its a custom shaft but supplier told me it suit caterham wheels - which I can only assume would use old ford stuff.

What sort of diameter? The mk2 escort had 2 different columns a smaller diameter one which was the same as the anglia column and a larger one (17.2mm rings a bell)

I've a mountney wheel and boss off a westfield using a mk1 escort column , you can have the lot for £15 posted , bearing in mind the postage will cost about £9 , same goes if of no use to you I will do same deal to anyone else once you have let me know if it doesn't suit .
