I have just aquired a Renault Espace for a very reasonable amount (nowt). The only fly in the ointment is the plastic bumpers are starting to go
white.
Question; Is there a quick/cheap cure, or is it a re-paint/replace job?
presume they're meant to be black?.
if so peanut butter works a treat!,

Nope. They are maroon, same as the body colour.
Raspberry jam?
Lots of t cut.. Theyv probably had a crap respray in the past.
Are they metallic maroon or just maroon.
If they are moulded in maroon then t-cut won't help. The only way to do it is to spray them. To get paint to key you will need either to use a suitable primer, or to give it a flash over with a blowtorch depending on the substrate. A paint shop should be able to identify; either that or take one off an look for the material code - something like ABS-PC or PP suffixed by either TD or TF and a number, such as 10,20....50. The latter is polypropylene with a talc filler (by %) which adds stability and strength
try peanut butter as said above! smooth
Thanks for the input guys. Appreciated.
