just had mine mot'd at work and had it weighed too but not sure if its the correct weight? I was sittin in there and weigh just off 14st. Car had 30% fuel on the digidash. Weight showed 210kg front and 270kg rear 480kg total. Is this the real weight or am i missing something?
That would make the weight 390kgs without you in it. I think you've missed something.
David
Would be pretty damn impressive if you aren't missing anything. Thats for sure!!!
Did you weight the axles separately or at the same time? My MK had about 80kg difference between the two methods.
put two front wheels in did brake test then 2 rear's after. Got printout with brake info etc too. Love to know it only weighed that but need to be realistic. What am i missin?

The engine - did someone steal it??
What do you have under the bonnet anyway???
I did mine properly using bathroom scals at each corner, with me sat in the car and a mate taking the readings.
It was 80kg heavier when measured with scales on all corners rather than measuring front then rear on the rollers at SVA.
Dean,
type 9R with a blade will be in the 475 to 490kg region dependant on wheel chioce etc.
wilwoods and 13's would reduce this a little more.
with you aboard it should be more like 550 to 570Kg.
quote:cheers for that. Had the wilwoods fitted end of last year and runnin 15in lightweight alloys. Also carbon aero screen, dash, bonnet and mudguards hopin closer 550 but i'll drag out some scales when i get a spare moment. Thanks for advise guys
