Hi,
I have both the manifold and silencer - no problems to report - seem like good value.
Cheers

I bought one and can confirm that they are good quality but they are only small bore so are very restrictive for any engines that are up on standard spec.
I got one last week, but from Great British Sports cars.
For the money, they are very good.
Cheers,
B
for the price they look alright, just check the quality of the welds etc (think i remember something about them a few years back, might be different
now) and check the fit. of course you will pay a lot more for something like a stainless steel exhaust, but a stainless system will last a lot longer,
and they usually have a lifetime warranty on them.
these ones are mild steel will most likely start to rust in a couple of years and maybe look a bit tatty, but it will certainly get you sorted now if
you intend of upgrading in a couple of years?

Yep, had one. Didn't fit my Indy & Pinto (fouled on the chassis) had to get it modified. They originally said it would fit but didn't.
To be fair though they did say they would do a custom one for the same price if I bought the car in.
The end cans are *far* too loud though. I chopped the end pipe off mine and turned it into a mid box with an R1 can on.
I think its pretty crappy and wouldn't go back to them but at the time i couldn't afford any different....
Don't know if they are the same as Lolocost used to sell but my X flow manifold wasn't welded properly, was a low grade stainless and the manifold to cylinder had flange was bowed by nearly 1/2" , the only way I could straighten it was to cut the flange ito 3 so that the pipes could flex. Still, you get what you pay for. The engine did make 127 BHP on it though , so not too restrictive.
They arent restrictive at all at lets say 150 hp(16v) or less but if you have a modded engine that needs to breath well then they will not allow for
much improvement.
The bores on the downpipes are 1 1/2" from memory which is pretty much a std size for a family saloon car.
If you have a std engine then theyre great to get you going but if your thinking of modding in the future then spend more now to avoid the problem i
had.
food for thought
i have a 2.0 zetec with TBs so maybe i should look elsewhere
any suggestions where a tight arse can get a good one ?
With your engine and TB`s you will be heading for 170 bhp ish.
There are a number of people that will sort a manifold out for that but depends what you want to spend really.
Tony Law at Bradford makes a lovely one for the Zetec (4-2-1), a friend has it fitted to his Westy and is making 195 hp and sounds awesome but it wont
be cheap.
Other one could be Westfields own version but will be difficult to find s/h.
You could always try Mark or Colin @ MAC#1 in Sheffield they may sort you something or point you in the right direction(01142511016).
The silencer is tiny, not repackable, and effing loud. You'll struggle to pass IVA with one.
