Caliper paint
tegwin - 1/2/11 at 06:57 PM

I need to pull one of my calipers apart because its sticking like a bugger...

When it came from VW 10 years ago it was painted red...

Can anyone suggest a GOOD paint that will stick and stay stuck to the caliper without disolving with brake fluid or flake off?

I know big red does a polymer coating, but thats expensive... what is the locost option?

I repainted the calipers on my sisters Polo GTI with red hammerite, has lasted ok, three years ago now.

forget the spelling but Folitec do a really good 2 part paint thats like epoxy. It stays stuck.

Halfords are clearing out the less popular colours for about half the price.

Hammerite worked for me. Watch the brake fluid though it will melt it.
