Not for me this time Terry.

Yvonne is due (or rather is overdue now!) so I'm confined to quarters!

Add to the fact that there is no engine in my car at the minute.

But, have you seen the one on Friday 25th September? That's my birthday, so I'm hoping to get booked onto that one!

Mike

Current Attendees:

Tim Ellingham/BMW M3 CSL
Ian Ellis/Joshua Ellis/Porsche 968 sport
Chris Downes/BMW 318i
Terry Munley/BMW 318is
John Richardson/Lotus Elise TT230
Nigel Parry/Caterham R300

..and at some point in the afternoon we should be getting Pete's Civic on track for a quick test session.

BTW, I wonder what it's like threading a big beemer through that pit lane!

See you if you get there Terry.

At Oulton, we think it was purely lack of coolant. (i.e. nobody checked the level in the rad!)Have since topped it up, run the engine up to temperature, and all seemed fine. The plan is to give it a good 20min thrash, just to check it out properly.

Well, Pete had a couple of good sessions on the track. Water temperature behaved its self. All systems go.

I wish I could say the weather behaved too.. ...a bit showery!.

It has to be said though, it's a great value day. Breakfast, lunch, trackday, plus a kart race at the end of the day, for £99.

Some pics:

The sun came out for the karting.

Yep, got it tugged and bashed somewhere close.

Hope you get yours sorted Rich. When were you doing Oulton? (Pretty sure you told me but..... )

Would have been be rude not to stick the camera on board.

Teesside on board footage

The track had been wet, but was drying fast. Not many cars on track, but the few that were, seemed almost too eager to get out of the way!

If we fill the oil up to the level on the steering wheel, it prevents surge.

Yup, GT3 was not 'anging about.
