Speed Camera Near Stoneleigh might have spoilt my day.
Good day at Stoneleigh with the exception of going through a speed camera and it flashing.... Does this mean I will definately get a ticket? I was
quite away back from the camera when the 'red lens' part of the camera flashed... I didn't see it to begin with and thought I was
doing about 54 I think....

as is usually the answer with these things, it might not have had film in it.
also depends on the type of camera

Sorry to hear that.
The only think you can hope is that with all that traffic today, the film could have been full.
My tintop decided to spun first thing in the morning on my way to Stoneleigh on a roundabout doing 20-25mph but I was really lucky.
Anyway, You came a long way. I was supposed to be in Portsmouth yesterday and today visiting friends but decided that i would do it next Bank Holiday
weekend.

If it was a digital front facing one (new style with lens sticking out) they don't have film in them. As they are digital

IIRC, front facing ones dont have a visible flash at all, its an infrared flash they use.
No way you'll get a ticket for 54 in a 50, so just hope your estimate was correct!

if the above is correct and your speedo reads a bit over, you may be ok. (from what is said on tiniternet you need to be over 10% to be ticketed).

Cov bypass is a nightmare.
A lot of it is 40mph with speed cameras the rest is 60mph with cameras.
The A46 from the M6 (J2) up to the lare roundabout where cov airport is is all national limit, 70mph and no fixed cameras.
Once on the A45 from there its 60mph with one fixed camera between the roundabout and the A46 turning.
The A46 is all 70mph down to sotnleeigh with no fixed cameras.
However if you came the other way, down the A45 through coventry from Birmingham then a lot of it is 40mph with loads of fixed cameras.

the digi ones dont have a visable flash so there is a chance you have got away with it if the film ran out. if the flash was triggered by you, then
you were going at a speed that the camera would do you for so i think your estimate is out a bit. if it flashes and there is film in, you are
done.......
i got flashed last year on my way back from silverstone but because of the number of cars on the same rout, i think the film would have lasted about
30 mins

Its true its true.
Four years clean and then 3+5 points in the space of a month. But all you can do is eat it up and hope never to reach the magic 12.
I thought i had got got by the average speed cameras returning from newark last year but nothing came up. Worth a remember if your doing newark as
well.
