GOME ?

How did it go ?

Ive seen a few clips on youtube, looks like a good day out was had by all ?

I also note lap times very similar ours, its all history now so can we at last have the truth behind the ban ? Obviously nothing to do with speed.

I'll take a guess.

The winning team did close to the average speed required... the other teams didn't get as close to the required average... but there was no speed differential... nobody achieved roughly the same average as everyone else by going faster than them... and no pesky, home made cars with tiny, unreliable engines got embarraslingly close to the required average!

Hi Jon

Fantastic day, ultra fast and sticky all day. I have to say I drove around all the cars most of the time. The only thing missing was you and a bit of high speed fun.

I was teamed up with a Westfield we both did very well and I believe we finished in the top 5, we lead for some of the day.

The problem was we had no team manager and had to do whatever came first, there was a couple of red flags, safety car sessions and a couple of bent cars.

Team Lotus won again, both manufacturers and team. They have a good manager, but I have to say they are full blown production cars with ultra reliability. I think they should find their own event soon, or get themselves a seven type car and join in on a level playground.

I was there as a mechanic and enjoyed the day still not sure about the rules but as neither of the team cars seriously thought they would win and with the red and green flags during the day no one was exactly sure what to do and jus tenjoyed the day, but depends why you are there.
I would stil like to do it when i have the chance. can you tell me the link you used as tried the obvoius but no joy.
