PPC in the Park 2013 - 18th May

PPC in the Park 2013

Mallory Park Sat 18th May

The weather’s warning up, Spring's on its way and all red blooded males will be looking forward to one thing – no not Tit Monday – PPC in the Park of course.
It’s the show where anything that has an engine is welcome, the faster and noisier the better – and if it smells of Castrol R we’ll even give you a free T-shirt. In fact, if you pre-book your entry tickets we’ll give you a free T-shirt.

It’s a diverse show that represents the kind of cars we feature in PPC in the friendly paddock of Mallory Park Circuit, so there’s every chance to talk to the owners and the Practical Performance Car Magazine team.

This year we’ve already confirmed some great attractions including the World’s Fastest Pram (and someone mad enough to drive/push it), Pro-Drive rally cars, Rail Dragsters, VSCC vintage drifters, Le Mans style Aquila race car, plus a raft of PPC feature cars. The list is growing daily for clubs and trade so keep an eye on our website for updates.

Clubs already confirmed include Mission Motosport, MX5Nutz, UK Starlet OC, Impreza RA Club, Locosts, Autograssers, Track Ninja’s, S2KUK, Montecarlo’s, Renault Turbo OC, Weekend Racer, Shakespeare County Raceway Dragsters, MASCAR, XR4 Register, Performance Torque, TDOCUK, Simca OC, Metro Cup to name but a few.

Now in it’s fifth year, PPC in the Park has the enviable record of selling out before the day every time, which is great for spectators, but if you want to book track time you need to do it soon. Just go to ppcmag.co.uk for more details or ring Kate Miller on 07933 704270.

On the Saturday evening we will be having a 70's theme, dig deep in those warbrobes for the Saturday night fever costumes!

The Friday night 'party' is a secret so don't tell anyone. Come and say hello and feel free to flop your sausage on the barbie.

Never been to this either so I booked it the other day
I think that it may be a pop-up block that stops the bookin page showing, I had trouble too.
Booked 1 track session just to be polite, done Mallory too many times now, living on the doorstep!

Good day had, weather held, cant ask for more.

Although there seemed to be a little less there than last time I went (2010?) No rolling road or tractor pulling, vintage cars, etc.

Equally, amazing how few people where interested in doing the autotest, apprently they presold about 30 spaces, but turn out at the event was slow, not aided by the need to walk the lenght of the site to the ppc tent in order to buy you ticket.

Heyho, met up with a uni mate I hadnt seen for a few years and looked over his re-engined Scimitar GTE, had a decent chat with Colin Furze, saw some proper mad stuff and a tidy mazda engined morgan.

First time at ppc in the park at Mallory. Quite a few interesting cars to look at, but as said above it would probably have benefited from a few more attractions in the pits.

I've not had my little car on a track in over 10 years, but it was a bit of fun;-

Yeah, thats the thing I really like. Great range of interesting projects.
And there all (most anyway) of the 'humm, i could have a go at that' sort of budget and scope.
