Sevens in the forest
When the WLM came down to visit the New Forest group, It was banded about that a weekend of driving, drinking and general good naturedness was
arranged for the coming year.
So just to gauge reaction, what do people think?
Any preferances on the time of year? I was thinking end of July or the August bank holiday.
Accommodation would most likely be tents.
Which other groups or individuals would want to come down or up.
I don't know of any trackdays down the end of the country, but if we're trying to organise our own events after the discontent of
Donnington, thought i'd try this.
All comments welcome(I've thick skin)

goodwood could be a possible for trackdays, and the later in the year the greater the chance of there being more road worthy cars in the area

Ned, The only trackday at Goodwood later in the year is the 8th August and they want £199 per entry and a 98Db noise limit, Cheers anyway.
Wonder if it's better to look at camping nearer a popular circuit in the midlands maybe?
Anyone have any ideas how much track hire is? are we talking thousands!!

Better to use a track that organises it's own back-up:
Llandau, South Wales - very cheap to hire, but a small circuit and quite a way away. Also has very cheap (if not free) camping with it too. Good if
you want it to yourself.
Other option to speak to somebody like MotorSport Events who arranged good and cheap airfield track days (been on a few) and they will probably do us
a good rate if enough of us go, and will be able to advise on camping. Nice chaps too.
If you're not living life on the edge you're taking up too much room.

I agree cadwell would be a great venue, supposed to be a great track for sevens,105 db limit as well, another possible venue could be bruntingthorpe,a
airfield circuit just off junction 20 M1 nice and central for everyone, another noisey circuit for us bec's ,done a track day there don't
no about camping facilities though.

That's true, but nowhere can be ruled out as most people have to travel to get to the forest.
