LocostSweden MK - Swedish Locostclub

In december 2004 we officially formed a national locostclub here in Sweden.
We have had a very active forum since autumn 2003 and we felt to take it one step further.
We aim to gather and organize all locost-/hicost-builders of all kind here in sweden. We are at this moment 70 members after only 2 months.
Future plans are plenty of trackdays, shows and other gatherings.

In the end of march we have 4 cars on display at Swedens (scandinavias?) biggerst carshow called Bilsport Performance and Custom Motor show, with around 60.000-70.000 visitors in 3 days.
And already 2 trackdays booked in the clubs management.

Some of us is also going to Stoneleigh Show in May. Maybe we´ll meet there.

Our website is here ->Locostsweden MK
Unfortanatly only in swedish, but there´s always pics to see.

Andy,

Is it a 1.6 or 1.8? I've heard you can buy light pressure turbo kits for them to run on a standard engine...

Then you could add spin dry to the price list

beware, I've got yellow skin

Ned

I have a 1.6 which is 114bhp and 0-60 in 8.5 secs. Not blistering but good enough for me! Don't want to get my hair out of shape do i !!

Yes you can get turbo's that bolt on and also superchargers. They are about £1200-£1400 a peice. Not worth it in mho as the mazda is fab as it is. I was out in it with a mate with the hood down in the snow and it was great! Nice and warm with my awesome heater and some Jean Michel Jarre to keep us company..........Great stuff!

Swedish is very easy to learn.

ex: One onion is "Lök", two onions is "Lök lök"

as simple as that

Yet another person ruining a perfectly good (as long as your iterested in hair or teaching) convertable.

People by convertables and then don't use them even on nice sunny days just because of a bit of wind and road noise.
Ok the odd bug and grub from bridges will drop in as well.

Don't think this is a slur agains MX-5 owners just a general dislike of covertables with the roof up.
