How about specific sections for local areas?

I was wondering if any of these would be easy to achieve and what people think about the ideas....

1) How about having either specific sections (or even sticky threads) to cover each of the areas that have club activites? That would make it much easier for those not in the know / noobies to make contact and get involved.

2) Have an option in the search to look for people by location. Similar reasons to those above.

The reason for this post is that I have happened upon a couple of local people and some have looked me up but it has been a bit by chance.

I have had lots of envolvement with "local" car clubs / sections over the years and know how useful they are to people new to the game. No matter how much you know there is always more to learn!!!

A good start would be putting your location in your profile. That would cancel your membership to the Pyschic Locost Meet.
Their next meet by the way will be held at... hang on, members should know!

Basically my same point mate.

Would be useful if there was some way of grouping "locals" together though.

So from the lack of posts I assume that it's not that popular an idea then?

Its a good idea,we have a healthy monthly meet going on here in south/west london taking in most of the south west of the M25 and beyond.

A list of regional areas would be good for meeting others,we have had a couple of meets with the hampshire locosters in the last year.
