Wales Rally GB
I've just been reading the BBC news site and it appears that the rally is currently taking place and has been for a while.
Has anyone else completely missed this too?
What is going on? There's virtually no publicity and what was a major national event (in November) that took in England, Scotland and Wales has
all but dissapeared to be replaced by a show and shine for the benefit of the Welsh National Assembly.
If you take sport away from the BBC, you're going to regret it. Well, I am at least.
Please tell me I'm wrong.
Neil.
Your sort make me sick

only publicitey ive seen for this was on the M4, all the signs lit up warning of possible delays...... its about time it came back up here,
I remember the 1st time i took my son, lancia delta, 6R4 and audi days, he stood there "open mouthed" and that was only the course car,
then when the "proper" cars blasted thru
the sound of a 6R4 in the forests....

Yep McRae is back in for this rally only I believe. Probably lack of interest due to the lack of Brits but it should perk up next year if he makes a
full time return with Skoda. Talking of Skoda I heard a new one yesterday. What do you call a Skoda with twin exhausts?.....
......a wheelbarrow
ITV should show the highlights around four, half four if anyone is interested.

Twas far better as the RAC Lombard rally when it covered Wales Northern England and Southern Scotland. Remember Killer Keilder, Sweetlamb etc and all
thats been lost to an area where the police have made it their mission to try and destroy whats left of rally GB, by stopping cars for minor things
(sometimes) and holding them until its to late for them and they incur time penalties. (unless they speed between stages and get caught 1/2 mile
farther on by more dibbles). In the early days though the logistics and costs must have been horrendous. But as it is "Rally GB" surely
they could move it around the country each year so we could all get to see it on our own doorstep at sometime or another.

Absolutely devastating for everyone involved and for rallying as a whole.
The sad thing is it will now get loads of coverage on the news, for all the wrong reasons

Heart goes out to the family, and friends. Plus Markko Martin must be feeling pretty bad too.
