you'll be nervous at first that they wont like your car for some reason, but to date, ive had no trouble *touchs wood*
make sure you read the small print if your car isnt road legal.

Cadwell park! Did my first track day there on Monday. Great fun, awesome circuit.
I found I was nervous at first, but as soon as you get going and have done a couple of laps you just want more!

If it's your first track day in a car you've never driven I would seriously recommend a track training day by Motorsportsevents. I did the
intro day with them at £99 in the Midlands somewhere on an airfield and it gave me much more confidence in the car and my driving. They take you
through emergency/hard braking (useful if you've been used to ABS!) car balance, cornering - they teach you about oversteer and lift-off
oversteer and get you used to getting the back out under power - and all sorts of other useful stuff. I had a great day.
If not - then just stick to airfield track days (around £99) to start with, they tend me be cheaper than proper tracks, MUCH more space to mess about
in, no armaco to hit, and lots of open areas if you loose it. They also tend to be a bit more laid back as well. I did about 3 or 4 of these before
going on to Donnington and Brands, both of which I absolutely loved. Want to try Cadwell next time, meant to be a great circuit.
You will be nervous, and will be worried the car will just fall apart around you. It's a good place to 'shake the car down' as well,
and maybe a good idea to treat the first few like this and work on setting you and the car up rather than going as fast as possible.

elvington is done for the year. Try Javelin too.

Cadwell is a brilliant track, but not really the place to build confidence. As has been suggested, airfield track days are the place to start. I did a
couple with Motor-sport events, and would recommend them. But they have a strict 100db limit, so it's best to get some idea of how loud your car
is before you go.

Yes Jon, and those corners are best done sideways ......
Actually if you are goona do a track, Donningon is great as it has LOADS of run-off.....
