Meeting in the Reading/Berkshire area

Are there any regular meetings in the Reading/Berkshire area? Would a Westfield be welcome if there is?

There is a group of us that meets guildford/dorking way which should be within an hour from you.
Westfields would of course be welcome

Ned.

not that I know of, but you know there's a Westfield Sports Car Club meet in Twyford once a month. You don't need to be a member... (well, they don't seem to care anyway)

PM me if you want a contact email

I'm in reading too, and would be up for a local meet.

Gary

Ned: thanks for the info on the Guildford meet. Could you give me the details, e.g. dates, times, and place? Cheers.

Garyo: Thanks for the reply. I am a WSCC member and regularly attend their local meeting. I was just looking for another excuse to take the car out and meet some other like-minded people. I'm happy to drive down to Guildford, but if there is enough interest in the Reading area perhaps we could set up a more local meet.

Phil,

We normally meet on the forst sunday of the month at around 10am for some brekky.
We usually go to Newlands corner, near guildford or Rykers cafe at boxhill.

Look out for newlands/boxhil/wlm titled posts under this section, something is posted up every month near the time.

Ned.

Thanks Ned and Bluemoon. I'll watch out for details of the Surrey meet. Abingdon is only 40 minutes away, and a nice drive. I'll aim to come along in Feb.

Phil,

I'm at Windsor, and would be interested in a local Berkshire meet - we did have one a few months back at Boulters lock near Maidenhead, but I'd be quite happy to go nearer Reading. I always think the A4 between Reading and Maidenhead is a nice drive, unfortunately the cafe at Knowl Hill doesn't open at weekends, but maybe there's somewhere else in this area?

What's the deal with the Twyford meet BTW - would Locosters be welcome there? If so I'd be interested in a few more details, have you got a link or some info anywhere?

ATB, Geoff.

Let's see if there's enough interest for this. Would be good if there is.

Would make a nice run out if it doesnt clash with the 1st sunday meets we run now, although something different from the norm for us is allways worth a go.

Keep us updated on the meets

Thanks for the links Phil, the Virginia Water meeting Feb 5th looks fun, weather permitting I'll definitely try and make it to the Wheatsheaf for that one.
