Newark from NE and Yorkshire
oK guys whats the plan? Did i mention that im miffed about missing the Stoneleigh convoy???
Q1 - what route is best for Newark.
Q2 - where are best meeting points?
Q3 - who is going?
Q4 - Lets arrange a combined Mac#1 / Mk owners area.
Will be tough for me to do Newark but will try (get back Fri night after family holiday to Sorrento.)

OMG - not somone else to have a dig
Today was first real shake down test of the car. I could live with the gearboc oil leak. Dizzy cap failure was totally unexpected. Managed to get a
new one within 1 hour but unfortunately couldnt catch up.
2nd fault was heat soak in the entrance queue - again easily fixed for next time (better bonnet vents, fan overide switch and maybe some exhaust wrap.
Bike carb conversion will allow me to cut bonnet out when i suss out new filter position.
All in all i should be overjoyed. Return journey was faultless. I even saw 3 figures for first time ever on way down (then i lost a magnet and did
most of journey at 'half' speed).
I really need to do Newark if family and funds permit! I just want to do a convoy.

Darren.
If you have never been to southern Italy before, It really is nice , but a word of warning, on any form of public transport or crowded place there are
very clever pickpockets. Go to Pompei its brill.
Steve.

Cheers Steve for that - il keep wallet safe.
Does anyone have a link for the newark showground. I want to see if there is a good route avoiding the motorways (Maybe only going so far on A1 then
go cross country).
Just hope i can fix gearbox leak by then!

gatso's
Had a talk to one of our delivery drivers today and he told me there are a lot of new speed check gatso's in the area of the show ground so
beware chap's.
Anyone know where they are?
Regards Kipper.
