I'm starting a new hobby.
It's called builderspotting
For this hobby you will need:-
A book with all the members of this forum in it, a pen, a flask of weak lemon drink and a strong stomach.
If you see someone from this forum in real life you can cross them off, drink the lemon while you're waiting.

Note to all: I really don't know when to leave well alone. I tried to get clever with the mods, then when they gave me a lifeline to see the
error of my ways, I tried to incite more trouble via u2u. So now I'm banned, never to return again. They should have done it years ago!

YES its me - the bloke with the way complicated car.....
actually got to the right place at the right time and didnt screw up!
Well, apart from camping in the wrong place cos I couldnt find a green escort at 1pm saturday (hid that well bob) - and had to put up with the noise
of a cackling bitch doing an impression of a hyena 2 tents down.
It didnt sound like Miss Newark......
I left just after I met up with ChrisG (who also seems to exist) and the rest of the guys at the locost enclosure, and Miss Newark was trying her best
to look sexy with her mate and model some industrial pump motors on the way out. It must have been a tougthie for her, but I bet she did a better job
than any of us coulda!
Taking kids with ya gets ya called a leering pervert, so its not just wives.
I should prepare you now that you may see me again in the future......and I bloody hope that next Newark its my 2nd show with the car! (kids are gonna
have to draw lots!)
I wont mention names in case I miss anyone out, but it was great to put faces to names and see some of the creations from piccys in this site in real
life.
James' (Hicosts) car was a beast (and I thought my bonnet was small! and the Tangerine ninja (nee dream) pictures didnt do it the real life
justice.
DOnt think my burbling V6 will make quite the same scream when blipped tho.....

Well, I was there. I was helping my son who had a stand in Hall 3 selling his Max Power shiny, sparkling bits.
I didn't get much chance on Sunday to walk about, but managed a quick walk round, about 11am Sat, didn't see anyone I knew until later
when I met Marcus and Roland.
The show is going downhill I'm afraid. There were less traders and more Club stands. You're right it's turning into a Club meet
show.
I can understand why some of the traders don't bother anymore. The stand charges whilst fairly reasonable take some re-couping out of profits.
My son did fairly well but taking the gross profit margin, subtracting the costs (fuel etc) and we both stood the stand for £1 an hour each overall
!!!! Would you do that ?
He's more interested in getting his effort promoted, than the reward at the moment.
I'm just being the driver/labourer, you can't hire or insure a van until you're 21, some companies say 25!

I was there 12 till 3ish Sunday. Saw chrisg on his way to the shareholders meeting and Chris PTM. Parked my car with the others and wandered round
the stalls for the rest of the time. It's more like an autojumble for me. I'll have to make more effort at Donington, get there
earlier.

get your self into your garage and do some building to get your car on the road
you all spend to much time on this forum and not enough in the garage
