The A4 between Reading & Maidenhead is quite a pleasant drive, there's a cafe at Knowl Hill (layby near David Hunt tool store), got a
feeling it may not open on Sundays though. Anybody know? If not I'll check next time I'm passing.

Yup, I'm up for it! Suggest we keep thinking of alternative locations though, cos' I got a strong feeling this cafe may not be open on
Sundays......

I'm so close I could push the car to that cafe at Knowl Hill. It would be ideal, lots of off road parking, steaming cups of brew. The only
problem is --
It's closed on Sundays !!

Haven't given up on this, will look out for alternative venues. Any other suggestions for a venue would be welcome, there must be somewhere
suitable, surely.....!

How far are you from the tea rooms at runnymede ?

its just past maidenhead, good m4, m40 access
drive through some villages, bourne end etc...
its part of the thames regeneration project, got the lock, an island, car park
and a hotel for tea n stuff....

Runnymede's a nice spot, very local for me but as you mention it's not really central enough for others.
No problems with Boulters lock for me, again pretty local, Phelpsa at J14 is probably the furthest away, if his father is willing to drive there then
fine. We could possibly alternate this with a venue nearer his part of the world?

Well, he drives to Slough and back everyday, so i suppose he wouldn't mind
If i anyone could think of any nearer Reading it would be easier though.

OK, anyone wanna suggest a date for the inaugaral (sp?) meeting of the Berkshire Locost Builders (B.L.O.B....??) Kinda nice ring to it I
thought.......
After this weekend my car should be back on the road for the summer, I can then manage pretty much any Sunday AM, so I'll leave it to the rest
to fight over a date - (weather permitting) I'll be there.
