I was gob-smacked when I saw modern rallycross on Sky - first time I'd seen it for years.
There was a Metro 4wd ex-rally car (4R6? 6R4? something like that!) hammering round the track. It slowed to 30 for a sharp right-hander, then
accelerated like it was on an aircraft carrier steam catapult - breath-taking!
(I believe that they're around 700+ bhp in a 3/4 ton car)
