Had a great weekend at Blyton competing against some of the fastest Kitcar sprinters in the county. I was able to knock 2 secs off my previous best
and get 2nd in class on Saturday with a 68.4 sec run ideal conditions.
Sunday was quite windy and we had a significant shower around 1030am so I was only able to do a 69.1 in first timed run and in the only other timed
run I 'went for it' which resulted in a DNF as I left the circuit on the last corner. Still only just beaten into 3rd in class.
Well done jeff! If you take john hoyle outp of the class your right in the mix with some very fast cars!
John put in a 64.6 I think which is faster than I did in my radical last year! Unreal time.
I wish my weekend had gone a lot lot better.although my car easily won it's class yesterday,I wasn't driving it
We managed a 63.03 which isn't bad as Bradley had only done 2 wet runs in the car before the clock started.
Sad that you had health issues Dan, the Force did look good (!)
John Hoyle is a bit special and so is his 284BHP, 500Kg Westfield. I'm happy to get within 4 secs of John given the 200Kg difference in
car+driver weight, just need to make some suspension changes and hopefully I can start closing the gap (might need to stop eating as many pies and put
the car on a serious diet as well!). WSCC meetings are always a reality check for me as it is almost the the British Sprint championships for
kitcars.
To put is all in perspective, Nick Alger smashing the circuit record with a 56.02 sec run in his 330Kg, Rotrex Supercharged, busa engined methanol
burning single seater. Ex-British sprint champion ! At least I have the same supercharger
There is some seriously well developed cars amongst them. A couple of he 1000cc bike engined cars got into the late 65's later in the day after
you went!
Yeah along with some of the specialist hillclimb cars these westfields are amongst the very best in the uk. And when you have someone like that in
class like we have with brad,it really is a case of trying to get as close as possiy to him rather than hunting for 1st place!
They can't match you for sound mate, that's for sure and you missed the last run Of the day by nick Algar!
He took the outright track record again with a 56.02! Yes 56.02. It's the fastest car Richard has ever had on the circuit in it's
relatively short history. It was absolutely epic!
Did you not manage to drive in the end Dan? Are you feeling any better now?
Was really sorry to see that you couldn't drive after all the effort you have put into the car.
I enjoyed Saturday but dealing with a bereavement meant I was putting a bit of a brave face on and then that utter twonk in the Elise crashing into my
car in the paddock really put me in a bad mood for a bit.
I managed a 71.0 on my final run but comparing my times to the faster Westfield's I was near matching them in the final high speed sector but
getting trounced in sections where power was needed .

Did a 63.02 to win the class comfortably but had a massive massive Moment exiting the right left right kink at the end of the lap absolutely
Flat out.So lost well over 1 sec I think!
If you get chance to look. Google images force pt or force hc and look at the wings and angles and see what you think
