Keevil
Went to Motor Sport Events there on Saturday. It was well run, well attended
(though you never felt there were too many cars) and a good layout. Organisers were very competent and considerate with it.
It was open pit-lane after acclimatising session then three sessions to get people into the groove so lots of track time if you could manage it.
Cost £160 for three of us to drive so I reckon that's good value-for-money.
Two of us had professional instruction which was notionally £20 for 20 mins but ended up about 3/4 of an hour each.
Learnt a lot about the car and its set-up from them - things which you would tolerate on the road suddenly become important on-track like twitchy
handling near the limit, pedal layout, on/off and heavy throttle.
Altogether an excellent day spoilt only by the remote gear linkage giving up in the closing stages (easily fixed yesterday by longer bolts and
lock-nuts).
Pity the poor chap who turned up in a supercharged TVR V8 something or other, did two laps and prob. dropped a valve. Could be costly and he was
espec. miffed . as it was only re-built 1500 miles ago.

Keevil was a fun track (airfield) - did it in the pouring rain a couple of years ago. Great fun, and nice 'n' safe....

What Twybrow says^ but yes would probably do it again. Some were saying that Colerne which M/S Events also use nearby is better.
Having now experienced both an airfield track-day and a race circuit (Goodwood - sample of two) I prefer the race circuit. Costs more for the circuit
though and most don't allow open pit-lane so time on track can be restricted. Beauty of the airfield is that there are big run-off areas in case
it goes wrong.
