has anyone done a track day at castle combe as i have booked in for the 19th of june and wondered if they welcome BEC's and how anyone has got on with the 100db restriction

They are very strict on the static noise test, and do now what a bike engine revs to. I spent the first 4 hours fitting a muffler after failing the noise test. When they retested me i was louder! I drove around for a bit and pretended i had repacked the exhaust and i sailed through!! Get your can as quiet as possible, get the exhaust nice and hot and when you build the revs up do it very very slowly and be careful not to go over the revs. I had a large 6.5" wide can made and passed no problem the next time i was there. As long as you pass the static test you will be fine on drive by, i didn't have a problem even once i had squeezed on the first time.
