High Chris, what we normally do in the Luego group, is bring the stuff that we have to and there is room for in the car. Perishables/consumables that
we will ONLY need for the weekend (BBQ coal, use once BBQ's/beer/Food/etc) we normally nip out down the road and get from the local supermarket
(about 1 mile down the road), once we have set up tent.
So the essentials to bring are:- Tent, sleeping bag, crockery/utensils/cuttlery, small stove if you want, maybe kettle/saucepan, tea/coffee (small
supply from home), clothing, small tool kit.
Hope this helps. See you there.
Beware of the Goldfish in the tulip mines. The ONLY defence against them is smoking peanut butter sandwiches.

If your stowing gear in the car and have no roof then pack it all in bin bags etc . Geoff spent friday evening a couple of years ago looking for a
sleeping bag as his had spent half the trip up immersed in water.

yep... what a night it was! Major Rainstorm / Cloudburst coming down the A1, Got really really soaked. You couldnt see 20 yards through the rain.
I now have some Divers Waterproof bags from Aldi, cost about £7 each.
Arriving at a camp site with wet clothes and wet bedding is no joke!
Use double Bin bags (they tear easily), and put the sleeping bag deep in the footwell, and NOT on the floor. Put things on the floor that you can
afford to get wet. Unless you have drainage holes in the floor.
Use a groundsheet to cover the kit up.
My Viento had at least 1/2" of water swilling around on the floor that time. I thought I might capsize!
Lets hope we manage to get a dry weekend in for the show.
1. The point of a journey is not to arrive.
2. Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.
Best Regards
