Croft trackday today.

Bit of a damp start, but got out dry about mid morning.
Had one small problem with the car, was convinced it was fuel related. Blew out carb jets, checked plugs, then found the rotor arm had slipped on the drive. New cap and rotor arm got us going again.

Nice to meet up with folks off here, Rich, Steve, and Terry...( Bigfoot, Coozer & Yosamite sam...or summit... )

A few pics:

good day out. cheers for the passenger ride andy.

yet again got soaked on my way home. the rain suit didn't keep me dry this time.
it was that bad trying to see and keep the car in a straight line i was down to 10mph at times. also had to crawl through quite a few floods.

No Problem, sorry to hear about your soaking. There was no way you were going to get home dry, was there..

That would be Pete taking his boss for a ride. He was suitably impressed.

Should be some video about in the next couple of days.

A video is now up on youtube. Me driving, track mostly dry on line, on well worn 888s. Watch out for the 911 trying a little too hard at the end.

Croft video

Once again I forgot to tape up the camera mic, so it's a musical.

A good mix of interesting cars for you to pass there, the Bettle took some catching, looked to be going well, must have been turbo'd,the Megane R26r put his indicator on to let you passed then kept his toe down, they are quick little cars though,I had 30 minutes driving one at Cadwell on my last trackday,it handled great, very impressed with it,although I don't think the instructor was as impressed with my driving .
The GT3 driver at the end should have kept his foot down and not lifted,he ran out of talent I think, nice though when the old Pinto Westy can pressure a £80,000 + piece of top quality german engineering like that
And its good to hear your taste in background music has improved,I thought that reving Vtec Honda had sent your Pete tone deaf, after your passed video's

The Beetle races in the same championship as Pete. (different class ) It was having it's first shakedown after fitting a supercharged V6, around 400bhp he said.. It's a shame our camera mic couldnt pick up the noise, it sounded absolutely fantastic!

Re the music, I just let Pete get on with it, it's usually OK
