Normous Newark M-E-G-A Autojumble

Hi

Has anyone been to this in the past ? I'm looking at possibly going this Sunday to look for some second hand tools.

Is it normally a big event that's well attended (even in November) ?

I think the NEC show is on this weekend - do you think that will affect size of the event at Newark ?

thanks
Paul

every normous newark i've been to has been just that.....normous! far better attended than the kit car show.

a lot of the new tools are market stall quality but the second hand stuff has been pretty good. it's worth the entry price for the cheap gaffer tape and latex gloves if nothing else.

I live near by an avoid them at all costs, expensive to get in, lots of crap for sale, you'll get the same stuff cheaper off the net. Also lots of very dodgy looking sellers with not quite legal things.

..... sounds like old sodbury's sort out - the equivalent but for Land Rovers ... usually in the weeks leading to the event, thefts of Land Rovers increase, coincidence????!?! ... so keep you P+J locked away.

Thanks for the input chaps.

It's the poor quality/dodginess I'm worried about.

I'd rather buy a used quality item than a cheap non-quality new item.

I was hoping that the Newark sellers would be private sellers - the sort of people who are on here and are just having a clearout - at least then it'd be good quality from a reputable knowlegable source. Sounds like its more what I'd call "trade"....

Think I'll go up there and have a look at any rate.

Thanks again.
