Abingdon Trackday this Friday
Anyone-else going?
Last of the season from motorsport events.
Places still available and normally they run well organised events with sensible rules. See you there?
Cheers, Pewe
PS the forecast isn't too bad!
PPS Wed pm - weather forecast now looking iffy!!
http//www.motorsport-events.com
V V Hope to see you guys there.
Last time at Hullavington they laid on a slalom for free as part of the entry fee - such a hoot!

I would but I've got work committments on Friday now.
The weather doesn't look great either. I don't want a repeat of my last trip to Abingdon - bits of me have only just dried out!!

Don't worry - I'd only be getting out of it with the approval of my boss.
I've now booked the day off work, so if the weather looks OK when I check the forecast tomorrow I think I'll book on.
John are you going?
Cheers

It was a good day.
Weather was mainly sunny but wind was cold. That combined with an earlier heavy downpour meant the track was very slippy in parts and didn't
really start to dry until mid afters.
There was a good turn out of Caterfields as well as some interesting tin tops incl. a matt black R8, a full race Monaro and various Lotuses.
MotorSport Events were their usual well organised, considerate, sensible selves and there were only a couple of budding Schumachers being arses.
As far as I know there were no serious incidents but given the lack of grip most of us had fun hanging the tail out.
Best was the guy who turned up in a new M3, covered the reg plates and then smoked the tyres on every corner when it dried a bit. Wonder if his
transport manager/ leasing company would believe his tale as to why the tyres had sh*gged themselves so quickly?
Roll on next year.
Cheers, Pewe
