Knockhill pics from Sunday
We were racing the Civic in the nsscc races at Knockhill yesterday. The troubles we had at the last races at Croft were still present. Mid range
miss fire, which seems to get worse as the race progress's. Due to a couple of cars dropping out, we still salvaged a 2nd and 3rd in class, so
all was not lost...
Our first visit to Knockhill, and I have to say I was impressed. The facilities are excellent, and the circuit is a cracker.
There should be some video about in the next few days, in the meantime, some pics.

OK - so who tyre rubbed Kyle Murchies rear arch on his ST Locoblade

Spoiling all my good paintwork again.....
I was along helping out Nic Boyes with his 1969 Cooper S in the Scottish classic saloons & sports cars.
He was second in his class in the first race (after spinning away his lead).
He won his class in the second race despite his gearstick rotating 180 degrees and missing a lot of gears.
There was a bit of attrition in his class - The Ogle GT retired when the clutch failed and buzzed the engine (a few bent valves).
One of the Midgets also suffered a fried clutch at the start of the second race. The Davrian was fastest in qualifying but did not make the races due
to a gearbox problem.
For once there was no rain - although the Mini goes very well in the wet.

There he be..
We were parked up next to the Davrian in the paddock, Pete was getting some Knockhill driving tips from Mr Simpson.
Have been paddock'ed next to the Murchies a couple of times this year too... nice car and nice people. Not sure who he's been rubbing
with, but in the race I think he was close to the M3 and the Seat.

Yep - that's Nic's Mini.
Nice picture.
Shame about Harry Simpson's retiral before the event proper.
Turned out to be a siezed CV joint.
He has hybrid imp/mini stub/CV joints (Mini CV welded to an Imp stub).
This then made a bit of a mess of the driveshaft spline.
