Autosolo at North Weald last Sunday
...organised by Sevenoaks & District Motor Club - the best £30 worth I have had recently (apart from the weather being a bit sh!te).
It was 2 sets of cones on a large (200m x 100m-ish) piece of tarmac, each run in each direction i.e. 4 tests in total. You get 3 runs at each test,
with the best 2 being added to give your score. There were about 40 cars, ranging from my ST to a 4.6 litre TR8, a Zetec engined frogeye Sprite, 2x
Mk1 Escorts, 2x TR6s, one with a 3.9 litre Rover V8, various hatches.
I was pleased to come first in my class

Theres another organised by Oxford motor club at silverstone on the 24th of October if anyone fancies a go.

No better way to do a cheap days motorsport IMO, been doing them for 4 years now and try not to miss any local ones.
I'd like to do the oxford one but it clashes with the loose surface Slalom that Farnborough District MC are organising on the same day. (worth a
look also - http://www.fdmc.org.uk/news.php )
Alternatively FDMC.org.uk will be organising another 4 Solos next year.
