Dettling Show Info and dates.
Got an Email this morning and the gist of it I have coppied to this pst for your information.
Hi all.
This year 2011, we have put back the Detling show until three weeks after Stoneleigh to the 21st 22nd May. For the past three years we have very poor
weather on our April dates so we are hopeful of much warmer weather in May. This will allow us to encourage camping and live entertainment on the
Saturday evening.
I am working on a new attraction of some drag car demonstrations and Hot Rod/American cars, any contacts’ you may have in any of these area would be
most welcome.
Last year saw over 5000 visitors to the show and to keep up this number an extensive advertising campaign will be put in place using One Voice Media
the same company the promotes Holiday on Ice.

Beware of the Goldfish in the tulip mines. The ONLY defence against them is smoking peanut butter sandwiches.

Shame they don't hang Stoneleigh back till the gritters have stopped and its a bit dryer....

Sounds good and I agree that the weather was always pretty miserable, not sure what the impact will be being so close to Stoneleigh though. I like the
idea of American/Dragsters as the guy on the bike was getting very tedious. I will certainly support it if it comes off.

I certainly hope that they have some more exhibitors this year - its all getting a bit tedious in recent years. Much too close to Stoneleigh's
date though and I reckon many will just visit this and not Detling.
