Fuel sender
Hi,
I'm about to build my alloy tank.
I'm thinking to apply this sender unit with pick up pipe:
LAND ROVER SERIES FUEL TANK SENDER PICK UP BRAND NEW on eBay (end time 10-Feb-11 23:43:52 GMT)
What do you think? I'll have a swirl pot in the tank so it wont starve and the pick up pipe straight on it...

You need to match the the value of the sendor to your gauge.

That's not difficult, is it?
Do you think it will work properly with the swirl pot?

Could be if you get the wrong range, choose your gauges and try and get the resistance values of the proper one and then shop around if you need
to.
e.g, my racetech fuel sender wouldnt work with the seirra sender yet the oil and temp was fine.
Cheers

Tube type senders are the most accurate and robust. I use a ISSPRO one but VDO also do a good range of sizes. You will need a tube type if you plan on
using fuel cell foam which is a very good and relativity cheap and simple alternative to a full on swirl pot or just as a good safety measure.

what fuel gauge have you got? i'd start with looking for one made by whoever makes the gauge.
if its a VDO gauge, look for VDO senders etc
