Kit Cars wanted to display at local Carnival near Leicester
I am looking for some budding volunteers to help put on a display of Kit Cars at the Loughborough Carnival on Sunday 15th May 2011. I did this event
last year for the first time and managed a small display of 3 cars and they were well received. The organisers have again asked me to put on a display
of cars. I would like to get more than 3 cars, if possible up to a maximum of 10 cars (because our display pitch is not that big).
If you live near to the Leicester/Loughborough area and are willing to help this local event please let me know via a U2U with your e-mail address. I
will then send a group e-mail out with all the details upon. You will need to be on plot by 11.30am for a 12.00pm start and the Carnival finishes at
4.30pm so it`s not a long day. All proceeds from the Carnival go to charities like Loros (Cancer). By attending in your kit to display you will get
free entry.
This is a local town Carnival with traditional arena events such as Dog displays and a flying gymnastics team. There is also Falconry, fair, craft
stalls, fun charity stalls, refershments etc. Our pitch will be next to a Vintage Motorcycle restoration club. The MG owners club also put on a small
display last year.
This may more suit people not too far away from Loughborough/Leicester but anyone with their kit is welcome. Once I have filled the required number of
places I will re-post that our pitch is full.
I will be attending in my Tiger and I possibly have an MK and a Westy lined up already. Thanks for reading.

Don't know if you go on PH at all, but there's a chap there who posts under the name of 1fcuking who lives just outside Leicester and has
probably THE BEST kitcar I've ever seen. And I'm not talking about his ratrod
Not really for me to tell you too much about it or post photos but if you could get him to come you'd be effing shocked and stunned. Go on PH,
find him in the members list and send him a PM and ask him if he'd come and tell him Colin said he's got to bring the red one. Bet he
sniggers. You'll love it.
And if he says he'll come, post back on here and wind this lot up 'cos I promise you all you've never seen a car like his in the
flesh before.
And if he's coming I just might come too in my Royale Sabre, the only danger is he'll show the rest of us up something rotten.

Thanks for that ColinM. I don`t have a pistonheads user profile unfortunately.
Anybody else up for this event? It`s a good way of getting some locals together and putting names to faces.

I;d be up for it. Unfortunatly around injuries I have to labour for the man tht's going to lay my new patio.
But if anything changes I'll let you know.
