NSSCC racing at Cadwell park, pics & vids
We were racing with the Northern Sports & Saloona at Cadwell on Sunday. My son, Pete competing in the 1600cc class D with a Honda Civic.
He qualified very well, fourth overall, and first in class. Sitting on the second row at the start was new!
Race one, started with a damp track. He was slightly over cautious on the first few laps, and got passed by his main rival in the red Saxo. Then the
heavens opened, Pete could hold on to the Saxo in the horrendous conditions, but was hampered by an ever worsening fogged up windscreen. He hung on to
the end and got a class second. (7th overall)
Race two. Dry track. Got a good start and for the first few laps was lying third, ahead of a couple of 2 ltr class C cars. He eventually more or less
let them past, and sat back to watch their class battle. Result, class win, and fifth overall, and probably a new class lap record of 1:41.465 (Only
one car went quicker, the winning Mike Cutt M3, doing high 1:39s)

1m 41s round Cadwell in a old Civic well done!!, thats some going, thats quicker than some of the RGB boys can manage

Towards the end of the race, he couldn't see where he was going! We have a little electric de-mister in the car, but he couldn't reach it
to turn it on while he was strapped in, doh!, it's the first wet race we've had since the start of 2009)

Yep, Westy is sat minus cylinder head at the moment. The gasket had blown, (Due to being the wrong one, i.e not suitable for the 2.1 bore) Head is
having a light skim, and should be up and running again soon..

do you fancy cadwell or oulton late june
not checked any dates yet though
easytrack, cadwell 27th or oulton 28th.
tempted by the cadwell one
