1.6 sierra pinto
Hi all wonder if you can help me.....Iv got a 1.6 sierra engine with fast road cam and twin webbers which was running great until about a week or so
ago...im not getting a spark from the coil...iv changed Ht leads, coilx2 , distributor and cap and rotor arm also the electronic ignition
module.....and im still getting no spark...periocacly it will start for a milli second....im getting fuel ect ....can anyone help?

are you getting power to the coil ?

Its going to be a wiring fault. Look for bad or broken earths. Check there is a voltage at the coil and ecu ect.

If it has got a condenser in/on the Dizzy, it may have gone open cct.
Had one go once and caused all sorts of problems.

check you have an ac voltage probably about 1-3v on cranking coming out of the dizzy if not it is the signal generator in the dizzy. if you have got
the voltage check at the amplifier to see if you have the same voltage there. you should also have a +ve and a neg at the amp plus the coil neg so
check continuity on them.
incidently i have the same engine in mine (not on the road yet) and was wondering what the performance was like.

Thanks for your ideas will be trying them 2day.....keithometune when running its great....nice sound and decent pick up a bit thirsty tho.
