Cheap skoda diesel for sale

Selling on behalf of a friend.

A couple of years ago a friend of mine asked me to help her find a car.
in the end she got a 1.3 skoda felicia diesel. she's in london now living on a canal boat and the car is coming up here to mine. it needs to go by the end of the month though as insurance runs out.
its been for an MOT today and failed, but needs: one new tyre and a new bulb. (halfords quoted her 60 quid all in but i'd have a thought a doing it yourself would come in at about half of that.

she's bringing the car up here tomorrow and if i have time i'll sort it myself.

good points:

cheap to buy, insure and run.
very reliable with on c.60k on the clock (i'll update once i know for certain)

bad points:
a few weeks back someone tried to break in and took a screwdriver to the passenger door. its still locked but has a hole.
could use a good clean, again i'll try and sort this once its here.

its up for sale for £375 with the MOT £300 without (but with the failure sheet)
she was all set on scrapping it as its easier for her, but it just seems a shame to scrap a good car, and i thought someone might need a cheap winter hack.

i can pass on any questions, and the car (from tomorrow can be viewed in nottingham ng11)

It's cheap enough, if it were closer I'd be inerested at that money & I dont need a car at the mo! Be cheaper to run than my 1.6 petrol mk4 Golf!
Sure it's a 1.3 though? We work on a few Skoda pickups & VW Caddy pickups which are just a re-badge & they're all 1.9 diesels.

as far as i know. i'll know for sure when i get the v5.

dont know where the 1.3 originates from but the 1.9 i had in my old felicia (gold )would run very happily on 75 vegetable oil for most of the year. made it even cheaper.

how can i tell?

I dunno, but all the diesels I've worked on were Pickups apart from a Feicia "fun" (a 1.6 VW Polo type engine) & they've all been 1.9 VW engines. A mate has runa few Felicia cars & they've all been 1.3 petrols with a Skoda engine
